Edinburgh/Inverness based

Initial 12 months contract - possible extension

Contract Day Rate Inside IR35

Hybrid role

Our public sector client are looking to award a contract for the provision of an interim Regulated Procurement officer to commence as soon as possible for an initial period of 12 months with likely extension.

The post holder will lead high value/risk public sector regulated tender exercises for a wide range of goods, services and works, reporting to the Category Manager. They will manage the end-to-end tendering process from market research & tender strategy development through to contract drafting and hand over; ensuring all relevant legislation and policy is complied with.

Skills required -

  • Worked within the public sector procurement environment for a minimum of a year
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering legally compliant tender processes including selection and amendment of appropriate commercial terms and conditions
  • Good understanding of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 and the EU Procurement Directives.
  • Demonstrable continuous professional development, ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS.
  • Demonstrable experience of contract development with knowledge and understanding of KPIs and reporting outputs.

The post will be based in either Edinburgh or Inverness however, home based working will also apply with meetings via Teams or face to face in Edinburgh/Inverness.
