Location - London

Salary - Up to £200k package

Work model - Hybrid (2-3 days from home)

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, high-profit, long-tenured, extremely impressive front office trading technology team within one of the best sell-side organisations in the world.

Due to recent positive figures, they are looking to grow the software engineering team starting with a passionate, open-minded Java Software Engineer with strong communication skills to join at a senior level and add real impact.

Some of the daily duties will include gathering requirements from front office traders directly, understanding and translating them into technical problems, and implementing high-quality, resilient solutions to improve the cross-asset, low latency trading platform.

The successful Java Software Engineer will work closely with the Strats, traders, and sales to create the trading strategies for this high-performing trading team.

This particular team does not look for extensive past finance experience but it is preferred.

Key Skills

- Strong programming skills in one of or more object-orientated languages (Java, C++, Python)

- At least 3 years of experience in a commercial software engineering role

- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment

- Self-starter with strong communication skills

This role will office a flexible working environment with the ability to work from home for half of the week.
