In this workshop, you will learn the foundational concepts of User experience (UX) design. This is the first step in your transition from being the consumer of technology to the creator of technology. This session is designed to be engaging, relevant, and fun.

User experience (UX) design is the process of creating products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to the user. This involves the design of the entire process of acquiring integrating the product, including aspects of branding, design, usability, and function.

This workshop is intended for people with little to no coding experience or those looking to revisit the basics. From this three hour session, you will walk away with an understanding of the importance of UX design. You have earned how to interact with websites so now UX can be a second nature when you stop and think about you engage with a product. As you learn more about UX, the other web languages that follow in this series of workshops will be a lot easier to learn!

Aisha Jami is a graduate of John Carroll University, receiving a B.A in data and computer science, with extensive experience in her field of study. Aisha has a strong understanding of programming languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. She also is very eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of others. She has a firm background in student learning, pedagogy and curriculum development.
